It’s time to put those dirt behind bars! Using an antibacterial bar soap is the easiest way to clean your makeup brushes. The key here is antibacterial, which means you’ll be able to kill off any germs and bacteria left on the brushes.

Using only one ingredient, this cleaner is a quick way to clean your brushes without skipping out on a bit of disinfecting.

2. Antibacterial Dish Soap for Easy Build up Removal

|

Your dish soap not only cleans dirty dishes, but it also cleans your makeup brushes! With it being effective for removing oil buildup, it’s definitely an easy fix for removing facial oils in your brushes.

Dish soap, by itself, can make your brushes brittle. Adding hair conditioner to the mix, you’re getting the benefits of removing dirt, oils, and bacteria while keeping your brushes in good condition!

What you need:

2 parts antibacterial dish soap
1 part hair conditioner

3. Witch Hazel for Removing Germs

|

Time to bewitch those germs away! Witch hazel is great for removing germs because of its antiseptic properties. The shampoo and argan oil, on the other hand, are effective for breaking down and removing any dirt and residue.

This cleaner will do an efficient job in removing stubborn makeup while preventing your brushes from accumulating more bacteria.

What you need:

1/2 cup of witch hazel

1 cup of water
2 tablespoons of shampoo (or baby wash)
1/4 teaspoon of argan oil

4. Olive Oil for Great Makeup Removal

|

It’s no secret that olive oil is a great makeup remover. It effectively breaks down makeup, making it easier to wash them off your brushes. Not only that, it can also help condition the bristles of your brushes.

With only two ingredients, this cleaner is a quick and easy way of removing those pesky residues.

What you need:

1/2 cup of olive oil
2 cups of dish soap

5. Vinegar for Killing Bacteria and Viruses

|

Not only does vinegar make your dishes taste better, but it also acts as a great cleaner! It’s an acetic acid, which means it can kill bacteria and viruses. With about 5% acidity (similar to that of multipurpose cleaners), distilled white vinegar is the best one to use.

With both vinegar and dish soap in the mix, you won’t have to worry about skipping out on disinfecting while cleaning.

What you need:

1 part distilled white vinegar
1 part regular Dawn dish soap
4 parts warm water
